The varieties in this
E-Book MAY BE OUT OF DATE. When I began my numismatic teaching career I yearned for a place where I could point my students and say, "Here is your one-stop place to learn about die varieties." But no such source existed. I pieced together information from a bookshelf full of general and specialty books, along with journal and news articles from a score of authors. With every book I wrote I reworked the material until I was satisfied I had located the very best information on the subject. This E-Book is designed to be an introduction to all of our die variety attribution guides. After writing several books, it became evident that we were putting basically the same material into the introduction of each work. So, we decided to pull that material out and make it into a separate book. Thus if you want an overview of the field, this is the place to start. Or if you need to brush up on the technical language or refresh your mind on the minting process, it is all here ready for your review. HOWEVER, if you think that is all it is, then think again! We have taken the breadth of an overview and added the depth of research to produce a must have volume. You will find many extensive lists, most exhaustive, and all fully illustrated. You will find new varieties never before published as well as fresh presentations of your old favorites. There is something here for everyone. No matter what your level of expertise, you will find yourself referring back to this book over and over. I know I do. ________________________________ A Special Note concerning The
